New Nomad explores cultural identity and global image circulation through the reinterpretation of traditional jewellery forms from different regions and traditions. Historical references were digitally transformed into contemporary mask-like jewellery compositions through collage, CAD modelling and additive manufacturing processes. The project reflects on jewellery as a carrier of identity, symbolism and cultural memory within an increasingly globalised visual culture.
Images of traditional jewellery from different regions and continents were collected, archived and digitally combined into new hybrid compositions. The mask became an important recurring element within the series, functioning both as a universal form of adornment and as a symbol of transformation, projection and shifting identity.
