Maryvonne Wellen Jewellery takes you on a journey. The label creates desirable pieces of adornment that spark daydreams about distant journeys and ancient cultures. The designs are clean, pure and best defined by the intelligent combination of classic feminine shapes with historical or ethnic references and a contemporary feel.

It is the determined focus of Maryvonne Wellen to design and make jewellery of lasting quality that reflect the makers hand as well as the culture of our time. In her studio in Düsseldorf, Germany Maryvonne celebrates old­world craftsmanship and the possibilities of the future by combining traditional goldsmithing methods with new production methods to create authentic limited ­edition jewellery.

Maryvonne Wellen was born and raised in the Netherlands. She attended the four­year training program to become a goldsmith at De Vakschool in Schoonhoven, NL. After that Maryvonne studied Applied Arts and Design, at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany. During her BA an MA studies she maintained focus on jewellery design and extensively explored the possibilities of 3D digitizing and and computer aided manufacturing.

In 2013 Maryvonne Wellen graduated with honors and launched her own jewellery label, Maryvonne Wellen Jewellery. Next to having her own label Maryvonne also works as an educator and research assistant at the Design department of the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany
