STARTING WITH OCTAVE LANDUYT

This series was developed in response to the work of Belgian artist and jewellery designer Octave Landuyt, whose emotionally charged and technically refined pieces formed the starting point for a process of abstraction and reinterpretation. Characteristic elements from Landuyt's visual language were transformed into sharper, more reduced forms balancing references to the body with futuristic and almost spacecraft-like aesthetics. The pieces were 3D printed in alumide and combined with nutwood, creating a contrast between technological precision and organic materiality.
